The Mobile World Congress 2021 event has just begun yesterday and Lenovo is one of the first to blast us with a barrage of new products which are a plethora of tablets and a smart clock that is smarter than ever(?). Anyways, let’s take a look at them.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 Tab 11

The first 2 device to hit the spotlight is the Yoga Tab 13 and Tab 11 designed to fit all use cases of entertainment and productivity. The larger model offers a 13-inch 2K display with 100% sRGB color gamut and Dolby Vision HDR for great visual display coupled with the native JBL speakers, I say this is well within the premium tablet experience range. Running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, it can manhandle anything you throw at it be it games, videos, or productivity tasks. Lastly, the tablet can be connected to another PC or laptop and be used as a secondary display, doubling its practicality too.

As a side note, the Yoga Tab 11 offers a similar experience at a lower price due to it using MediaTek’s G90T chipset, lower memory capacity, and the inability to be used as a second screen. Put it in simpler terms, it is a smaller Tab 11 without all the extra/premium features and just focuses on being an actual tablet.

Lenovo Tab P11 plus

Meanwhile, the new Tab Plus P11 is more of a middle ground device out of all of them as it uses the MediaTek G90T SoC instead of a Snapdragon to trade performance for a lower price tag. However, the screen and configuration are still great at 2000×1200 resolution with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. It also has a battery rated for up to 12 hours of continuous video playback which is pretty good for a device made for entertainment purposes.

Moving down the budget lists and the new 3rd generation of the Tab M7 and Tab M8 makes their way into the mainstream market as one of the more affordable choices among other competing brands. Its highlight is its competitive price that serves both goals of being a hub for your smart devices in your house and also just a cheap yet reliable Android device.

Lastly, Lenovo also introduced Smart Clock 2 that is basically a clock that does smart things such as weather information, schedules, notifications, and playing music/radio channels as well as integration with Google Photo to let you set your favorite images as the background. The device itself can also be plugged into an optional wireless charger pad that allows you to charge another device wirelessly (But not the clock itself presumably).

As of now, only a couple of tablets are announced with official pricing for Malaysia while the others are awaiting their turn for localization so we’ll be updating the rest when the info comes around.
