It’s surprising to see something like this dropped in our mail. The LG G6 officially arrives here in the Malaysian market – and ohhh it’s fabulous!
The LG G6 does things a little different – just like what Samsung did with their Galaxy S8. It’s taller than other smartphones with a standard 16:9 aspect ratio with 1440p resolution, as it uses a non-standard screen aspect ratio, coming in at an aspect ratio of 18:9 (or 2:1, actually) with a resolution of 2880px x 1440px.
With a beautiful aluminium and glass structure of the LG G6, it definitely looks minimalist and sleek yet smooth to the touch at the same time. Also, LG claims that their engineers have intelligently positioned the components inside the G6 to minimize overheating. That’s certainly a plus point, and we discussed how heat affects battery life in a vicious cycle.

As the LG G6 is a flagship device, it needs to have flagship specs after all. It comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chipset, that special 5.7-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB of UFS 2.0 storage and a microSD card slot. As for the cameras (yes, that’s a plural), it has a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2. 😉
