My reaction when I got the press release was “whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?????“. Till now, I’m still confused. This is the Logitech M331 Silent Plus and the Logitech M221 Silent mouse. Both of them are wireless, and both of them have a very familiar design too.
Logitech M331 Silent Plus
This mouse features Logitech’s renowned 24-month battery life, together with Logitech’s nano-receiver. It’s a great wireless mouse, but it’s not really that tiny. It has an ergonomic curve curated only for right-handed users too.
What surprises all of us is the “click” feel is now over 90% more silent, but feels the same. I’m not sure how that works, but Logitech says it’s the first ever mouse to r eceive the Quiet Mark seal of approval from the Noise Abatement Society. Tech is definitely covering more grounds these days.

Logitech M221 Silent Mouse
It has pretty much the same feature as the M331 Silent Plus, but it doesn’t have that much battery life and the shape is different. The M221 Silent Mouse has an 18-month battery life and comes with a much slimmer, ambidextrous design. Much more portable too, in my opinion.
It still has the same 90% noise reduction with the same “click” feel, and has the same seal of approval as well. This mouse only costs RM59. You can learn more about it right here!
I still don’t understand what Logitech did. Did they create another mouse switch, or just performed some magic to reduce noise? If it’s the latter, then to reduce 90% of noise is not an easy feat to pull off.
