I just found out this amazing video that been posted on YouTube quite some time ago. However, I still want to share it with you all this amazing invention – Makey Makey!!! It is an invention by Jay Silver and Eric Rosenbaum, final-year PhD students at the MIT Media Lab. They came up with a very crazy yet simple idea of making everything around us into a keyboard!!!
Makey Makey is so easy to use it and also suitable for all ages to bring out their creativity and innovation through infinite imagination. Just by connecting the Makey Makey board to your laptop or computer and a crocodile clip to any material that can conduct at least a tiny bit of electricity, Makey Makey sends a keyboard message to our computer which mean it works with all programs and webpages, because all programs and webpages take keyboard and mouse input.
From the video, we can see that mostly everything that you can found in your house can turn into your very own keyboard. Banana, clay, water and even your house staircases can turn into a piano. A simple sketching on a paper will also work too, obviously thanks to graphite (science nerd! I’m going to order one for myself too!
