Malaysia telecommunication companies Celcom, Digi, Maxis, TM, and U Mobile has announced that they are lifting the time restriction of the daily free 1GB data used for productivity which was previously only available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Starting from now until the end of 2020, you may claim the free 1GB data for your productivity tasks such as e-learning, information searching, and online research at any time of the day which means you can get a maximum of 30GB per month.
For your information, the data is extra that goes on top of existing data plans and all Prepaid and Postpaid users will find it handy for home-based work and education needs.
In addition to this, companies of the joint effort will continue to offer free and unlimited access to a range of information-related apps and services to ensure Malaysians stay updated on the latest credible news on COVID-19. The list includes MySejahtera and MyTrace apps, and important health websites and hotlines such as the CPRC Hotline, Ministry of Health and World Health Organization websites, and more.
One side note is that each of the telco companies may have their own starting date for this change so be sure to refer to your respective providers if you need further confirmation.
