Samsung Malaysia has announced the addition of MBSB Bank’s Visa Debit Card-i to Samsung Wallet, giving Galaxy users another option for contactless payments directly from their devices.
The move continues Samsung Wallet’s push to expand its ecosystem as more Malaysians shift toward cashless payments, with eligible Galaxy users now able to tap their smartphone or compatible wearable to pay at participating Visa merchants both locally and overseas.
Security runs through Samsung’s tokenization technology, which replaces actual card details with a unique digital token for each transaction, while authentication relies on the security features already built into Galaxy devices.
To mark the launch, MBSB Bank is running a “Tap Smart. Win Big.” campaign from June 18 to August 31, and customers who add their MBSB Bank Visa Debit Card-i to Samsung Wallet and complete their first eligible contactless transaction get an RM5 ZUS Coffee voucher, while anyone spending a minimum of RM30 in a single eligible transaction stands a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab.
