I think all of you have heard about Xiaomi and most of you know about the Mi 11 smartphone. It’s the world’s first smartphone to be using the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset.
The new Snapdragon 888 chipset is also the single most powerful chipset available on a smartphone to date. It comes with the latest Adreno 660 GPU, which is able to run Genshin Impact at the highest possible graphical settings at 60fps.
This new chipset comes packed with a lot of new features that the Xiaomi Mi 11 takes advantage of, and able to create the movie magic experience. The biggest highlight here is the presence of triple-ISPs (image signal processors) and each of them is powerful enough to capture 4K videos or take triple 28MP pictures at once.
Technical specs aside, the Mi 11 can definitely take a lot of fantastic pictures with all of its 3 cameras. All of the pictures came out nice and clean.
Its ultrawide angle camera is able to produce great pictures, too.
As we have said in our full review of the Mi 11, I am most excited about the macro camera. Xiaomi calls it “super macro” and it is actually a telephoto-macro camera that can autofocus distances from 3cm to 10cm. The picture quality that came out of its macro cameras is just out of this world.
Being the movie magician, the Mi 11 can create visually-appealing videos on the phone itself, without needing any other tools. For example, I created a dolly zoom of the Mi 11’s box by only using the phone itself. Here, Xiaomi showcases all of the effects that the Mi 11 can do without the need of another app.
There are a few more other built-in movie effects that can really spice up your videography with just a click. By only using the movie magic feature, we can create eye-catching videos that are great for social media.

The Mi 11 is not only for making content – but it is also great for watching videos or listening to music as well. With stereo speakers by Harman Kardon, the Mi 11’s speaker quality is one of the best on a smartphone ever.
To complement the excellent speaker sound quality, the Mi 11 has a magnificent 6.81-inch AMOLED screen that can go up to 3200×1440 pixels in resolution and also up to 120Hz refresh rate.
Plus, the Mi 11’s beautiful screen can also support HDR10 and HDR10+. If the content supports any of those HDR standards, it will look even better on the Mi 11. It is able to show more colors, more vibrant, and definitely better dynamic range.
We also did our own independent test – and we found out that the Mi 11’s display is covering a large color gamut and very color-accurate.
The Mi 11 – especially for the global version – actually comes with a 55W charger and that allows us to charge the Mi 11 from 15% to 100% only about 40 minutes.
With its 4,600mAh battery, this battery can last for a whole day without issues.
Other than that, the Mi 11 also comes with a nice addition that is not found in any other flagship smartphones of today. I’m talking about the IR blaster at the top of the phone. I can’t emphasize enough how useful this little feature is. It saved so much time and is very convenient, too.
So, if you’re looking to get the new Mi 11 for yourself, then you’re in luck. Every purchase of the Mi 11 comes with 24 months of warranty alongside 12 months of Screen Protection Guarantee for free.
The Mi 11 is available in both Midnight Gray and Horizon Blue color options, and in two different configurations:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage @ RM2,799
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage @ RM2,999
