Singapore-based myFirst has finally blessed their presence in Malaysia as they bring their iconic kids-focused tech and products to the local market that can help parents foster a healthy digital lifestyle.

At the center of the launch is the newly redesigned myFirst Insta Lux, which is priced at RM799 and comes with two complimentary refill packs worth RM98. What’s interesting is that this isn’t meant to behave like a typical instant camera that simply takes and prints photos.

Instead, it’s built around how kids today create and share moments, featuring dual 5MP front and rear cameras, a 2.8-inch IPS display for framing shots, WiFi connectivity, and support for receiving selected photos from a parent’s smartphone through the myFirst Circle app so kids can print them instantly.

Look, no Asian parents like wastage, and the fact that the Insta Lux first takes photos and store digitally, then prints them by the user’s choice afterwards, makes the “lose camera focus then proceed to waste a film” moment gone for good.

The camera uses dye-sublimation technology to produce vibrant color prints that last longer, while also offering creative frames and filters that encourage storytelling and self-expression. It also supports up to 64GB of expandable storage, charges through USB-C, and is ergonomically designed for smaller hands, essentially bridging digital creativity with the experience of making physical photo memories.

Alongside the camera, the company also highlighted the role of the myFirst Circle app, which connects the ecosystem in a controlled and family-managed environment. Parents can send selected photos directly to the Insta Lux for printing, while the platform itself focuses on private sharing rather than operating as an open social network, reinforcing the idea of safe digital interaction within the family.

The launch also introduced several new devices that expand the ecosystem beyond photography. One of them is the myFirst Fone M1, a 4G-enabled smartwatch phone priced at RM399 that offers GPS tracking, voice and video calls, and messaging within the myFirst Circle network, giving kids a safe way to communicate while still allowing parents to stay connected and in control.

Another addition is the myFirst Frame Clario, a RM499 7-inch smart family frame designed for private photo sharing and one-tap video calls. Beyond displaying memories at home, it also includes customizable ambient soundscapes intended to create a calming atmosphere for everyday family life, again within the same secure ecosystem.

Audio also gets attention with the CareBuds Max, priced at RM169, which are wireless over-ear headphones designed specifically for younger listeners. They feature smart volume limiting between 85 and 94 decibels and a lightweight, child-friendly design with interchangeable ear cups for personalization, aiming to promote healthier listening habits while kids enjoy music, learning content, or entertainment.

Rounding out the lineup is the myFirst 3dPen Make Creator Kit, priced at RM299, which includes the 3dPen Make, themed model packs, and PCL filaments so kids can start building right away. Designed with low-temperature safety and ergonomic controls, it encourages patience, focus, and spatial creativity, while also carrying the Malaysian Conformity Mark certification for toy safety to meet local standards.
