In case you didn’t know, TP-Link is now redefining themselves with a flatter design and flashier colours. This re-definition means TP-Link is now pivoting their focus into 3 main things, and smartphone being one of them. Obviously this is referring to TP-Link’s brand new line of smartphones under the name Neffos.
They’re doing pretty well too, and you can check out our review of the Neffos C5 right here. Now, Neffos is back at it again with a brand new line of devices – the Neffos X.
There’s gonna be two brand new smartphones under the Neffos X branding. Starting with the Neffox X1 – it has a 5-inch 720p display, running on Mediatek’s MT6755M chipset with Helio P10 octa-core processors and Mati-T860MP2 GPU. Other than that, it comes in two different variations – either 2GB RAM/16GB storage, or 3GB RAM/32GB storage. It also has a microSD card slot to store all the pics taken by its 5MP selfie camera and 13MP rear-facing camera. All these are powered by its 2,250mAh battery.
The Neffos X1 Max however is a larger phone. This 5.5-inch smartphone has a 1080p display, running on the exact same chipset, processor, and GPU, but has either 3GB RAM/32GB storage or 4GB RAM/64GB storage. Also, it’s powered by a larger 3,000mAh battery too.
Both the Neffos X1 and X1 Max comes in either Cloudy Grey or Sunrise Gold. The Neffos X1 is priced at €199 – which would be about RM909, whereas the Neffos X1 Max is priced at €249, which is about RM1138.13.
The Malaysian prices here are converted directly from euros, so expect the price to be a little higher in Malaysia. Both the X1 and X1 Max will be available in stores by the 4th quarter of this year.
