Instagram has finally revamped their UI for both Android as well as iOS device. It seems that they have move the design language toward material design style rather than the old blue-ish title bar. As of now, only certain user has been experienced these new UI on their devices and it seems not to bind to app updates.

As you can see, above are the comparison between the new Android Instagram UI vs. the old version. The new updated UI has wash out all the coloured bar at the top as well as the bottom part of the apps. The profile section also has include your own profile picture at the menu bar. Aside from that, the new UI seems to use the material icons that Google included in their design pack.

The new update is not just for Android user. Even iOS user get their fair share in this update. The UI of the Instagram on iOS has slightly changed compared to the old one. Gone are the days of blue Instagram, cause everything is just black (and some red for notifications) snow on the new iOS UI. The UI changes are not much difference from the Android counterpart, but there are some significant here and there differences.
With these new UI, I do hope that Instagram would finally change their obsolete icon of the app itself. Maybe you will get these new UI soon enough. If you already have it, do you like them?
