Well at least it leaked in the most indirect ways.

The Android 4.4 KitKat was leaked, and somehow it contained the datasheet of the upcoming Nexus 5 – which means all of its specs are listed there to the some degree of detail.

From the leaks, it is going to be made by LG again, and this time it is based around the LG G2, but without the special features – at least in the software sense of course.

From the source, Tutu Android and Android World got the extract the data and told the world that the Nexus 5 will have these :

  • 5-inch 1080p (1920×1080) resolution display
  • 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with an Adreno 330 GPU
  • 16GB of story, 2GB RAM
  • 8MP rear-facing camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera
  • Supports LTE

Also it’s obvious that the Nexus 5 will run on Android 4.4 KitKat. After all, these information came out from a leaked version of Android 4.4 KitKat which was build for a Nexus 5. From the ROM itself though, there is no confirmation of the battery size. Based on the trends however, LG is unlikely to give G2’s special index finger buttons to Google’s Nexus 5, though I actually love the fact that the damn index finger finally had something to do for the first time.
