Sure, camera these days touts its abundance in megapixels – 13MP is the norm now. HTC took a different approach by tweaking the sensor.

Though no one went as crazy as Nokia did with the 808 PureView – a 41MP sensor. That camera itself got the best ever quality for photos on a phone! The photos were amazing in low-light conditions, noise are suppressed and the photos still is amazing in 100% crop.

Well, being a phone with an amazing camera, it didn’t last long, because of the software it’s using. Everyone got baffled, the phone wasn’t exactly selling well at all.

Now comes the saviour – the Nokia Lumia EOS PureView with a 40MP sensor.

It’s reported that the new Lumia EOS uses Windows Phone 8, but only by judging the name. Here’s a video of that super large camera in action!

As for now, there are nothing else confirmed – be it the price or availability, even the launch date.

With the previous fascination by the 808 PureView, what more can I predict?
