NVIDIA is blessing some Chinese gamers over at the Bilibili World expo in Shanghai, as they put up a flash sale hosting several units of the RTX 5080 / 5070 FE GPUs.
The moment word got out, the place turned into a long chain of endless queue snaking through crowds of cosplayers and gaming fans, all trying to get their hands on the brand-new GPUs.
People were waiting for hours, but no one seemed to mind. Take Xiao Wang, for instance. He’s currently using an RTX 2070 and is eyeing the 5080 FE as a huge leap forward. “I can’t wait to try Black Myth: Wukong with the new 5080 FE,” he said, grinning. And get this — he already owns a laptop with an RTX 4090. Still, for him, nothing beats the power and experience of a desktop GPU.
Then there was Hei Tu, a post-grad from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, fully decked out in gaming cosplay and equally excited for the 5080 FE. He’s upgrading from an RTX 4070, not just for gaming but also for some serious AI work. “It’s for both, really – for the pure joy of Helldivers II at its best, and for the serious crunching power I need for my computer vision AI models,” he shared. That pretty much sums up NVIDIA’s dual appeal to gamers and creators alike.
Aside from the main attraction, NVIDIA also put together a massive showcase of RTX gear. They had around 50 high-end laptops and desktops from brands like ASUS, MSI, and Honor, all ready for hands-on demos.
And to sweeten the deal, games like Marvel Rivals and Wuthering Waves were on display, now enhanced with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation.
