Okay, guys, Jensen Huang just stood on stage at COMPUTEX and dropped a massive bomb. If you think the current crop of Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite, Intel Core Ultra, or AMD Ryzen AI chips are impressive, NVIDIA just looked at all of them and said, “Hold my milo ais.”

They officially announced the NVIDIA RTX Spark, and it is not just another graphics card. It is a full-blown consumer SoC (System on a Chip) designed to run entirely native Windows laptops and mini PCs. For the first time in history, NVIDIA built their own custom consumer CPU to handle Windows, meaning they no longer need to pair their graphics tech with an Intel or AMD processor.

What Exactly is the RTX Spark?

Essentially, Team Green took the monstrous tech powering their enterprise AI supercomputers, shrunk it down, and packaged it for slim, premium laptops. They are calling it an AI Superchip.

Under the hood, you are looking at a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU (which they co-developed with MediaTek using ARM architecture) interconnected via their ultra-fast NVLink-C2C tech to a powerhouse Blackwell-generation RTX iGPU featuring 6,144 CUDA cores.

The headline number? 1 petaflop of AI performance. To put that into perspective, current-gen Copilot+ PCs from Qualcomm or Intel push around 40 to 50 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second). One Petaflop is 1,000 TOPS. It is an absolute slaughter on paper.

Turning Your PC into a Teammate, Not a Tool

Why do you need 1 Petaflop of AI power in a laptop that you’ll probably use to watch YouTube and type documents? Jensen says the paradigm is shifting from “launching apps” to “asking your PC to do the work.”

NVIDIA and Microsoft have deeply integrated this chip with Windows to run local, autonomous AI agents. Thanks to a new secure runtime called NVIDIA OpenShell, these agents can securely look through your local files, write code, automate massive cross-app workflows, and remember context across days—completely offline without sending your private data to the cloud.

Content Creation and Gaming: A 90GB Scene on a Laptop?

For creators and gamers, the raw specs are just ridiculous. Because it uses a unified memory architecture (configurable up to 128GB of unified RAM), the CPU and GPU share the same massive pool of high-bandwidth memory.

NVIDIA claims the RTX Spark can:

  • Load and render massive 90GB+ 3D scenes locally on a laptop.
  • Edit raw 12K 4:2:2 video timelines without coughing.
  • Run gigantic 120-billion parameter LLMs (Large Language Models) with a 1-million token context window entirely offline.
  • Play AAA games at 1440p resolution at well over 100 FPS using native DLSS and Ray Reconstruction.

Even Adobe is jumping straight on the bandwagon, announcing that they are rearchitecting Photoshop and Premiere Pro from the ground up specifically to run natively on the RTX Spark, promising a 2x leap in performance.

When Can You Get It?

NVIDIA didn’t give exact pricing, but let’s be real—this is targeted squarely at the premium, high-end market. It is going to cost an absolute bomb.

Slim laptops with all-day battery life and compact Mac Mini-sized desktops powered by the RTX Spark will start rolling out this Fall from all the major players: ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, and even Microsoft’s own Surface lineup. Acer and Gigabyte models will follow closely behind.

It looks like the era of the traditional x86 Windows laptop is under serious siege, and NVIDIA just brought the biggest guns to the fight. Will you buy an ARM-powered NVIDIA laptop?
