OnePlus Malaysia is happy to announce the launch of the brand new Nord 3 5G smartphone and Nord Buds 2r TWS for the local market.
Before we start, if you prefer the video format of the review for the Nord 3 5G then watch the video above.
Anyway, the number ‘3’ of the Nord family continues the tradition of value-packed smartphones without breaking the bank.
It has a great set of cameras, a high-quality OLED screen, a highly capable SoC, large memory capacities, and fast charge.
Although these seem like paper specs of what a flagship should be, the performance and capacities ARE actual flagships but a couple of years back.
However, with technologies maturing every single day, one may gain access to those “best from the past” with relative ease and lower cost as the main benefit.
On the other hand, the colors and design are straightforward yet vibrant which is not too boring. The iconic OnePlus slider is still here as well.
Here’s a quick specs rundown.
- 6.74-inch Fluid AMOLED Display
- 1080+p Resolution
- Middle Punch Hole Notch
- 120Hz Refresh Rate
- HDR10+ Support
- MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Chipset

- Macro: 2MP f/2.4
- 16MP Selfie Camera
- 5,000mAh Battery
- 80W Fast Charge

Moving onto the Nord Buds 2r, this thing packs a great set of 12.4mm drivers to give you the thumps and oomphs while the high-tension wire copper coil improves the tension and endurance of the earbuds.
The Master Equalization system holds multiple sound profile presets for you to swap around across different music styles while the Dirac Audio Tuner keeps the signal stream steady and clear.
As usual, it supports AI noise-canceling dual microphones transmitting clear speech from your end while the speaker side has the same thing that removes ambient voice so you can hear clearly.
Battery life-wise, it can do up to 8 hours off a single full charge and a total of 38 hours if including the charging case.
The IP55 rating keeps itself safe from dust and liquid. And if you really happen to get a bad unit, there’s a 1-year warranty with a 1-to-1 replacement guarantee.
Notable features also include 94ms Game Mode (highly subjective whether this is good or not), and Google Fast Pair.
