Another quarter, another round of mobile network experience report by OpenSignal for the duration between December 2020 and February 2021.
And what a surprise, U Mobile actually topped 3 out of 7 categories that made them the overall winner of this round’s survey. Let’s take a look at all the results to see what’s so good about the service.
Let’s start off with the basics – Upload and Download speeds. U Mobile surprisingly managed to top the Upload speeds with relative ease while netting 3rd place at Downloads as well while Digi took the crown for that category with a near 30% difference.
Meanwhile, for rating the video playback and gaming experience, Digi yet managed to scrape by closely with very little lead in the Video Experience section, and U Mobile and Maxis is the joint winner for the Best Gaming Experience category.
Lastly, most respondents felt that U Mobile also provided the best voice call experience out of all 5 telecoms with Celcom and Unifi having the best 4G availability. Combining all results (4G Coverage was won by Celcom) and there you have it, our king of Mobile Experience for the last quarter – U Mobile. Let’s hope they keep this up and bring more improvements across the board. I’ve seen no less news of bad service areas by some users too.
