At the recent Google I/O Connect China 2024 event, OPPO demonstrated yet another set of in-house developed generative AI features to help the public catch up on their progress.
The keynote was led by Kai Tang, the President of OPPO Software Engineering, who highlighted several high-productivity AI features powered by Google Gemini models.
One of them is AI Recording Summary which supports a whole lot of languages as well as multi-speaker recognition that can automatically identify and extract key information which can be extremely useful in cross-region meetings to boost work efficiency and grasp essential points.
Another one is AI Toolbox which packs AI Summary, AI Writer, and AI Speak into a single package designed to facilitate efficient reading, effortless content creation, and hands-free operation. And all of them will be integrated into ColorOS’s smart sidebar.
Speaking of ColorOS, the ColorOS 14 which is already live in the Reno12 series smartphones can access these AI features right now.
OPPO will continue to invest more in AI features to democratize the technology to the masses, aiming for around 50 million equipped devices by the end of this year, as well as maintaining and expanding collaboration with top industry partners like Google.
