The OPPO Reno16 series has officially landed in Malaysia, bringing in 3 models as usual, and they are packing more focus on AI-powered creativity, personalized experiences, and a refreshed design language.
The Reno16 Pro 5G, Reno16 5G, and Reno16 F 5G fill different price segments as expected, but the new 3D Pop Planet Design takes the crown, as it is made with OPPO HoloVerse 3D Technology for the floating, nebula-inspired visual effect that changes depending on how light hits the back panel.
All 3 models rock the 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view for wider group selfies, while the rear camera system includes a stabilized main camera, a telephoto portrait camera with around 3.5x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide camera. The Reno16 Pro further raises the bar with a 200MP Ultra Clear Main Camera that allows users to crop heavily while maintaining image detail.
Durability has also been improved, with all Reno16 models carrying IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance. OPPO has also included Splash Touch and Glove Touch support, allowing the displays to remain responsive even with wet fingers or while wearing gloves.
For software, new stuff is being added as well – Pop Cam offers vintage-inspired shooting modes like Digicam, Instant Film, and Light Leak with a single tap, while the new Create hub brings together AI-powered editing features such as AI Remix Collage and Popout Collage 2.0 for more dynamic and personalized content creation.
Video recording also receives upgrades with 4K Auto Straighten Video and Dual View Video 2.0, making handheld recording and multi-camera shooting more seamless.
While the system is still running ColorOS 16, the AI Snap Key is new to the scene to provide instant access to AI Mind Space that houses AI Bill Manager, AI Mind Pilot, AI Menu Translation, and more.

Alongside the smartphones, this is the OPPO Bubble, a lightweight 35-gram magnetic companion device that attaches to compatible cases or magnetic rings. Featuring its own AMOLED display, Bubble works as a live rear-camera monitor, making it easier to frame selfies using the higher-quality rear cameras. It can also function as a remote viewfinder and shutter control from up to 10 meters away, while a companion app lets users customize the display with images, animations, text, and colors.
