Other World Computing (OWC) has expanded its storage lineup with the launch of the Atlas Core series CFexpress 4.0 Type B memory card to offer high-speed media access at a competitive price point.
The new hardware delivers maximum read speeds of up to 3,571MB/s alongside maximum write speeds reaching 2,227MB/s, and a sustained write speed of 368MB/s, exceeding VPG200 certification benchmarks to ensure frame-perfect recording for high-resolution RAW burst photography, continuous shutter sequences, 4K video recording, and compressed 8K video capture.
The physical architecture is engineered with structural resistances against impact, bending, shock, UV exposure, electrostatic discharge, and airport X-ray scanners. This design targets broad operational compatibility across multiple camera systems, supporting Canon EOS R-series, Fujifilm GFX, Nikon Z-series, and Panasonic Lumix S-series mirrorless cameras, also extending to select legacy Nikon DSLR models, including the D5, D500, and D850, for users transitioning away from older XQD media.
Users can manage the hardware using the free downloadable OWC Innergize software utility, which monitors real-world health status, tracks the percentage of remaining operational lifespan, restores peak performance levels, and applies field firmware updates to maintain ongoing camera system compatibility.
Pricing and Availability
The OWC Atlas Core CFexpress 4.0 Type B 256GB memory card is now generally available in selected regions for US$279.99 and includes a 3-year limited factory warranty.
