Xiaomi expanded the Redmi Note 10 series with a slew of different devices. One of them is the Redmi Note 10S, which was launched recently.
We also reviewed the Redmi Note 10S too, and we highlighted that with its price of RM899, it brought a good value proposition to the table. It offers great performance, a fantastic screen, and also long-lasting battery life alongside some decent cameras.
I think that for its price, the Redmi Note 10S is one of the rare phones that is equipped with an AMOLED screen. Measuring at 6.43-inch, the Redmi Note 10S wastes no unnecessary real-estate for the selfie camera too. It only has a tiny little punch hole for the selfie camera – and that’s it.
The bezels of the Redmi Note 10S is also very thin too – yet somehow, it has stereo speakers. One at the top, another one at the bottom. With the combination of an AMOLED screen and stereo speakers, it makes the Redmi Note 10S an impressive budget smartphone for watching YouTube, Netflix, and everything in between.
We should also highlight that the Redmi Note 10S is using a physical fingerprint scanner at the side which also doubles as the power button. It’s a welcomed change as I personally prefer a physical fingerprint scanner instead of those under-display ones.
Speaking of the cameras, the Redmi Note 10S comes equipped with a 64MP main camera too. We ourselves managed to take some good-looking shots without any editing at all.
Here are some shots that we took, and some are taken by Xiaomi themselves.
The Redmi Note 10S also comes with an 8MP ultrawide angle camera and another 2MP macro camera, which opens up the flexibility to take shots with a few different perspectives.
And hey – remember this? This time-lapse was also taken with the Redmi Note 10S! It was very easy to set up and I am more than happy with the results produced by the Redmi Note 10S.
Of course – one of the main reasons why we said the Redmi Note 10S brings a fantastic value proposition to the table is because of the chipset. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95. Before you start commenting that “MediaTek sucks”, we have proof to show you that it is actually a very powerful chipset.
And after a full day’s worth of taking pictures and gaming, we can quickly juice up the Redmi Note 10S with its included 33W fast charger. It charges the massive 5,000mAh battery really quickly, too.
