ASUS ExpertBook B9

I think it’s the season of entry-level smartphones! What we have today is the ZTE Blade V40 Vita. It’s quite a mouthful of a name but no matter – this phone is actually quite good and it has a massive 6,000mAh battery and it is only priced at RM629.

Okay, let’s take a look at this phone. It comes with a black plastic back and comes with a lot of textures too. But, I’m more interested in the Pine Green color – that bright teal color is just looking amazing, honestly.

Also, this phone is pretty humongous. That is because this phone comes with a 6.75-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels and can go up to 90Hz refresh rate.

Though the resolution is low, it’s actually okay. I didn’t see the pixels themselves so I think this display looks good overall.

The performance coming out of this phone is also rather decent too. It comes with the Unisoc T606 chipset and this chipset works well enough for day-to-day usage so there are no complaints there. Just don’t expect it to run games like Genshin Impact, though.

Battery life

As for the battery life, combining the low-powered chipset with the massive 6,000mAh battery, it lasts for 19 hours in battery life test and wow, this can definitely last more than 2 days through our basic usage.

Charging time

And it also comes with a tiny 22.5W charger inside the box. It takes about 2 hours to charge from 15% to 100%. Pretty good, actually.

As for the cameras, we have 3 here but I’d only consider the main camera to be used to take pictures. The pictures are pretty much hit and miss, though. To have a look at al the pictures taken, watch our video at the top of this review.

Software – MyOS

The software on this phone is rather close to stock Android too, actually. It uses a skin called MyOS but I think there are only a few additional features here and there. One of the features that I like is the addition of this little arrow to the navigation bar. Pressing it hides the bar, but we can bring it back up by swiping it back up.

Other than that, yeah I think the software is pretty barebones and simple – in a good way.

So overall, for the price of RM629, I think this is a good phone. It does what it needs to do, comes with supremely long battery life, and at an extremely low price.
