ROG Malaysia has launched the new “fan edition model” ROG Phone 9 FE to allow mobile gamers to acquire a powerful smartphone without completely digging a big hole in their pockets.
Although it might be the “budget version” of ROG Phone 9, it still rocks some of the key features that give it its identity such as the customizable AniMe Vision mini-LED display on the back that can display personalized animations, notifications, and even secret animations when paired with another ROG Phone 9 device.
Aside from the matte glass finish, it contains the OG GameCool thermal system and optional AeroActive Cooler X Pro support for superior thermal control during extended sessions while AI-powered tools like X Sense 3.0 for in-game assistance, X Capture 2.0 for automated highlight recording, and AI Grabber 2.0 with a built-in translator are all available from the get-go.
And yes, the AirTrigger system stays, providing detection for complex gestures like Dual Action and Gyroscope Aiming. For content creators, the device features a robust triple-camera setup with gimbal stabilization and OZO Audio technology, capable of immersive 3D audio recording.
Don’t worry, the 3.5mm headphone jack is still here to let you hook in your high-impedance headset for a booming gameplay experience.
