Samsung is expanding language support for Galaxy AI and Bixby so more people can use them in their own language. The headline for Malaysian users is that Malay is now supported across several Galaxy AI features.

Samsung adds Malay and Hungarian to Galaxy AI, and Polish, Thai, and Vietnamese to Bixby 1

The first features to expand are the ones that translate, transcribe, and summarise. Call Assist, Note Assist, Interpreter, and Transcript Assist now include Hungarian and Malay, which brings features such as Live Translate to 24 languages. Elsewhere in Galaxy AI, Now Nudge, which suggests a relevant next step based on what’s on screen, adds eight languages to reach 24 as well.

Meanwhile, Bixby has received Polish, Thai, and Vietnamese language packs, hence making the full list 12 languages now.

The Bixby update is rolling out right now, while the one for Galaxy AI will be released in the coming weeks.

Bixby is Samsung’s device agent, letting you control your phone through natural conversation. You can ask for what you need in your own words, without knowing the exact name of a setting or where it sits in a menu. With the addition of Polish, Thai, and Vietnamese, Bixby now supports 12 languages.
