Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Buds2 Pro earbuds have received an improved Ambient Sound update, which is intended to assist those with hearing loss to better enjoy listening to music and sounds around them.
To give you a quick idea, the newly updated Ambient Sound provides users with enhanced amplification to enable them to listen and stay aware of their surroundings better, and users may access it via the Laboratory menu under Earbuds settings in the Galaxy Wearable app.
Galaxy Buds2 Pro owners can also tweak their Ambient Sound settings to their preferences, such as adjusting the volumes on both sides as well as customizing the Ambient Sound tone range across five different levels.
Another fact of the day is that the University of Iowa’s Hearing Aid and Aging Research Laboratory has conducted a clinical trial to evaluate the effectiveness of this feature, and it turns out that the Galaxy Buds2 Pro has greatly improved speech perception for those with mild-to-moderate hearing loss.
That being said, Samsung will start rolling out the improved Ambient Sound feature in the coming week through software updates.
