As many of you may have realized, the Samsung Galaxy Note10 series of smartphones will officially be announced on 8th August 2019 at 4am (GMT+8). This is their next UNPACKED event and with so much anticipation surrounding this big release, we’ve gathered some information on what is there to expect.
Oh, by the way, you can register your interest in the Galaxy Note10 series of smartphones here. And we also mentioned “Galaxy Note10 series” here – wanna know why?
That is because we already found some evidence that confirmed the existence of more than one Galaxy Note10. There will be two models coming to the market here:
- SM-N970F: Samsung Galaxy Note10
- SM-N975F: Samsung Galaxy Note10+
How did we find out? Through SIRIM, actually. SIRIM leaked the Galaxy Note10+ and through a little bit of backtracking on Samsung’s codename naming scheme, we found out the Note10 is SM-N970F. Doing a quick Google search on these two codenames also revealed something directly from Samsung themselves.
There were some other solid leaks as well. For one, leaks are pointing to the Galaxy Note10 series having a brand new updated chipset – the Exynos 9825 – as shown here. We expect that the new chipset will be similar in terms of the fabrication process and its overall architecture, but tweaked to improve its CPU and GPU performance.
The leaked benchmark scores compared the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and the Exynos 9825 variants, and Samsung’s chip is closing the gap in terms of CPU performance.
Popular leaker Ice Universe also revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Note10 series of smartphones have a dynamic gradient that changes in color depending on what angle you look at it. Unlike its competitors, Samsung is not lazy and has once again – overengineered it.
Obviously, Note10's new color "Aura Glow" is not a fixed gradient, it varies with angle/light, so don't compare it with Huawei phones, they are very different. pic.twitter.com/ERUoEowbDR

While many of our readers (yes, we read the comments) said that the cutout on the Galaxy S10 series of smartphones is jarring, Samsung has reduced the cutout size and moved it to the center. Personally, I would have preferred it to be at the top right corner.
Galaxy Note10+ data based on renderings: Bezel: 1.5mm, Forehead: 2mm, chin: 3.7mm, the above data includes metal frame, Hole diameter: 4.2mm, Screen-to-body Ratio: 92.5%

However, there were no exact measurements and dimensions of the Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10+. But, there is an image of both the Note10 and Note10+ side by side.
