By now, I’m sure all of us have heard and seen news and videos about the brand new Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. What many don’t know is that Samsung Malaysia just officially launched bot of the flagships here in Malaysia – that means it’s now locally available!
I’m sure that we all know how the Galaxy S8 and S8+ has a brand new curved display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio with an impressive resolution, 12MP f/1.7 rear-facing camera and an 8MP f/1.7 front-facing camera, Exynos 8895 chipset with 10nm manufacturing technology, 4GB RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. Instead of going through the specs and its display that we’ve all already heard and seen before, let’s talk about Malaysian-specific deals, accessories, and promotions that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ has.

Priced at RM999, the Gear 360 can easily create 360-degree videos in 4K resolution with a click of a button. Paired with the Gear VR, it’s like you’re at that place of recording itself. It clearly eliminates the “fear of missing out” that many of us are experiencing nowadays.
And then there’s the Samsung DeX – a piece of accessory that we are all excited to know how it performs. Priced at RM459, the Samsung DeX is a new service that lets users use their Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ as they would a desktop by providing a seamless, secure mobile-to-PC transition. With Samsung DeX, users can conveniently access apps, browse the web, send messages and more directly from their phone on a larger display without having to carry multiple devices or transfer data.
Samsung DeX supports keyboard and mouse gestures, thus providing the effortless usability of a PC. Furthermore, with the ability to quickly shift between windows and adjust window size with ease, users can multitask more efficiently. It obviously helps to maximize productivity with intuitive applications such as Samsung Browser, MyFiles, Gallery and Samsung e-mail. Samsung DeX is also compatible with the Microsoft Office and Adobe mobile app suite, which allows complete desktop-like functionality previously unavailable from a mobile device.In addition, beginning in the first half of 2017, customers will be able to use VDI to remotely use Windows OS as they would on a desktop.
