Samsung is rolling out One UI 9 to more Galaxy devices, starting today with the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, following its earlier debut on the Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8 lineup. The update brings a more seamless experience across Samsung’s different form factors, alongside a meaningfully upgraded version of Galaxy AI.
One of the new features is My FanCam that tracks a specific person in a recorded video and keeps them centered as the scene moves. So yeah, pretty good for shaky hands or chaotic moments without manually editing every frame.
Now Brief also gets smarter with Generative and Editable Cards, letting you customize what shows up in your daily summary across health, weather, and video content. And Warranty and Care brings device support directly into Settings, so you can check warranty status, run self-diagnostics, view repair estimates, or book a Samsung Care+ appointment without hunting through a separate app.
Other than that, Now Nudge surfaces context-aware suggestions right in the moment, like pulling up reservation details or saving a shared location while you’re mid-conversation in a messaging app. Creative Studio now suggests image generation ideas tied to upcoming events, so if a friend’s birthday is coming up, you might get a prompt to whip up a themed greeting.
Meanwhile, the Interpreter tool adds a new Thread View for following translated conversations more easily, plus faster translation speeds and quicker playback through compatible Galaxy Buds. Document Scan handles tricky materials like curved book pages or folded corners more gracefully now, and Voice Recorder presents summaries in a cleaner, more structured format with headings and tables.
Security-wise, Security Brief surfaces alerts about malware, apps from unknown sources, or unnecessary permissions directly in Now Brief, so potential issues get flagged earlier. Privacy Alerts uses on-device AI to catch apps quietly trying to access permissions in the background, giving you more visibility into how your data is actually being used. And Scam Detection is expanding to more countries and languages, extending its protection against scam calls to a wider range of Galaxy users.
