The education-focused Solve For Tomorrow 2021 has launched a couple of weeks ago in partnership with University Malaya and supported by the Ministry of Education.
The competition has gathered Gen-Z students to not only compete against each other but for a greater goal of solving modern-day problems through the power of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, or STEM for short. As Samsung is dedicated to creating a future of total green computing, they want to tap into the minds and ideas of these future world builders to discover brand new discoveries that can be served as breakthroughs.
For this year, the 2 focused themes are ‘Access to Education’ and ‘Environmental Sustainability’ and the targeted students are those who are currently Form 1 or Form 2 nationwide. While the 1st and 2nd rounds will focus more on idea presentation and conceptualization, 3rd round onwards until the final round will require participants to come up with a prototype and video presentation with the combination of both be judged by the relevance of the issue, creativity, the feasibility of ideas, application of STEM and presentation of innovative solutions.
