Samsung Malaysia has announced that the latest T7 Shield Portable SSD (PSSD) has been brought to the local market. Let’s take a look at what it has to offer.
Weighing at only 98g, the compact-sized T7 Shield can achieve read/write speeds of 1,050Mbps and 1,000Mbps respectively, which Samsung claims to be about twice as fast compared to its predecessor, the T5, and up to 9.5 times faster than external HDDs.
In addition to its excellent performance, the T7 Shield can resist shock from drops of up to three meters and is also IP65-rated dustproof and water-resistant, making it the brand’s most durable PSSD to date.
Furthermore, the T7 Shield incorporates hardware encryption and 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard security, ensuring that user data is secure and protected even if the T7 shield is lost. On top of that, users can easily manage the drive with Samsung’s Magician Software.
Availability
The T7 Shield Portable SSD is currently purchasable through Samsung’s official store on Lazada and Shopee, as well as authorized dealers across Malaysia in three color options: Beige, Black, and Blue.
