Shopee Malaysia is highlighting more local sustainable sellers to deliver the best value for eco-friendly products, as more consumers grow increasingly eco-conscious.
Malaysians have been searching for more eco-friendly household products such as solar lights, solar panels, and inverter air conditioners, with keyword searches increasing by 14% in the last six months according to Shopee’s data trends.
Shopee sellers also saw higher demand for biodegradable items like reusable bags and biodegradable plates (19%), as well as personal hygiene items which include natural deodorant, shampoos, and body soaps (33%) in comparison to the second half of 2021.
As more Malaysians are looking for eco-friendly household products, Shopee has introduced the ‘Shop Green with Shopee’, which will connect users with more eco-friendly sellers, teach them knowledges about sustainable living and habits, as well as inspire others to take environmental action.
Furthermore, it will enable eco-friendly product sellers to gain increased visibility and brand recognition.
