AIO PCs aren’t exactly mainstream or widely-adopted by the masses – mainly because many people choose to get a laptop anyway. But, growing up using a desktop and knowing what a desktop can do while also owning a laptop for work and whatnot, we can approach this topic with multiple different perspectives.
Still, the question of “who’s the winner?” in the AIO PC vs. laptop debate is very difficult to answer. So, in today’s video, we’re unboxing and testing out the ASUS V241E AIO PC and see if it’s actually a worthy consideration over a typical laptop.
Honestly speaking, there’s still no conclusive answer. It ultimately depends on what you want out of a computer. Getting a laptop grants portability but with ergonomic issues (especially for taller people). As for an AIO PC, its ergonomic is up to the user to adjust it to however they want – and has a bigger screen, able to choose whatever keyboard and mouse you want to use, and saves space compared to a typical desktop setup. But, portability is out the window.
Here’s one big point to help you choose to get an AIO PC or a laptop: do you need the PC to be portable? As in working at the cafe or traveling, etc. If not, then get an AIO PC. I mean, we know a lot of people buy laptops at home but use it as a desktop and never take it out of the house or move it from the desk. So in that case, an AIO PC is definitely the choice.
In any case, the ASUS V241E AIO PC is actually a good AIO PC that we can recommend – even though there are a few quirks.

I bought the ASUS i3 V241E AIO (the only one I actually saw) PC in April of 2023, it replaced an ASUS i5 V241IC AIO (the only one I actually saw back then) which I bought in 2018 that died. Obviously I like it, it does exactly what I would use a laptop for but with a bigger screen for 60 year old eyes, which is an entertaiment PC for visiting internet sites, You Tube and Production Music sites. Hopefully this one lasts longer than 5 years.
