While the world of wireless earphones is still in its infancy, SOL Republic – an audio manufacturer company that’s based in Michigan, USA, brought in two new wireless earphones to the Malaysian market. They are the Amps Air and the Relays Sports Wireless earphones.

First up, let’s talk about the Amps Air. It’s an in-ear style wireless pair of earphones that function more or less the same concept as the Apple AirPods. The main plus point for the SOL Republic Amps Air is that the 2,200mAh charging case doubles as a power bank too.

The Amps Air is also versatile – not in the way it sounds, but the way it functions. It can be worn one-sided so that you can leave one ear to listen to the surroundings while another ear is enjoying some dank tunes in your library. Of course, it has a multi-function button where you can trigger voice assistant (Siri and Google Assistant) to do quick actions and even searches.

It’s available in a total of 3 colors too – Rose Gold, Rich Teal, and Deep Blue. The personal favorite of mine is definitely Rich Teal. Price for the Amps Air is at RM900.

Then comes the Relays Sport Wireless. By design, it’s pretty similar to the Beyerdynamic Byron BT and also the Sudio Vasa Bla, where the two earbuds and controls are connected together in one single cable. The Relays Sport Wireless is obviously made to be worn during sports, and hence the inclusion of sweat resistance. SOL Republic even claims that it has quick charge technology with up to 8 hours of play time!

As of now, both of these wireless earphones can be purchased over at RadioShack outlets or through Lazada. Honestly speaking, teal-colored earphones is tickling my fancy.
