It’s been a rather typical morning to receive a notice by Sonic Gear stating that they have released yet another portable speaker. However this time, it’s something different.
The Quatro 2 speaker is a basic 2.0 speaker but they claim that it can replicate the experience of a 2.1 setup. and boldly suggested that it has the best bass response from a 2.0 micro-sized speaker setup. I do however like the angle it is inclined to, as it does not produce sound to my chest, but to my ears.
To say that this speaker is portable however might be a little offtrack, as the Sonic Gear Quatro 2 will have to rely on a 5V USB port to be powered up. Unless OTG works in this case – which is not recommended, else a power bank with 5V, 1A output will work (Xiaomi power banks will not).
Best part about this speaker is that it’s just RM25. Yes, RM25. Twenty five ringgit. Comes with a full year of warranty and available in 5 different colours – grey, red, orange, blue, and green.
