In addition to the usual Netflix, iFlix, and whatnot, there’s a new local streaming service in town and it comes in the name of sooka.

sooka Content

A wordplay on the Malay word ‘suka’ which means ‘likes’, the service is aimed at bringing the latest and freshest content that is also relevant to fellow Malaysians with a mobile-based streaming platform. With the shift to digital lifestyle accelerated by the pandemic and literally became the “new normal” starting last year, mobile entertainment consumption is at a new high and sooka wants to be part of the ecosystem that churns out local content like what we used to watch on cable TVs.

To celebrate the launch of the platform, DJ Keanu and DJ Isha will be hosting a session dedicated to sooka and can be viewed on ERA and Hitz‘s Facebook page at tomorrow 8:30 p.m.
