Get ready for a brand new smartphone that looks beautiful and captures your beautiful face at the same time! OPPO has introduced the new Reno6 series of smartphones recently but we’re here to share more about the more affordable Reno6 Z.
As a quick rundown, the new OPPO Reno6 Z comes with a few key highlights – particularly the new Reno Glow design which has an iridescent effect on a matte back. This prevents fingerprints while still looking amazingly brilliant. Personally, I am liking this Reno Glow design, especially on the matte finish. It just stays clean no matter how grimy my hands were while using this phone.
And the main highlight here is the cameras – we have a total of 3 different cameras and combined with the technologies behind OPPO’s AI algorithm, it does produce a lot of beautiful pictures.
One thing I also realized is the consistency in white balance. Combined with the Image Clear Engine, all pictures taken will have good white balance.
And hey – if you’re looking for something unique, then OPPO got you covered too. The Bokeh Flare portrait effect is available on both the rear and selfie cameras, which transforms the background lights into bokeh light spots while brightening the subject. This Bokeh Flare portrait effect emulates a professional-looking portrait shot on the OPPO Reno6 Z directly.
Other than that, the OPPO Reno6 Z also comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset – which does support 5G so you can use it when it finally arrives.
As for the RAM, the Reno6 Z comes with 8GB of RAM but we can further expand it by reserving a few gigabytes off of the internal storage and treat it as RAM. This feature is called RAM Expansion, and you are free to adjust between 2GB, 3GB, and 5GB.
In terms of performance – it’s rather decent. We did a dedicated gaming video showcasing the gaming performance of the OPPO Reno6 Z, which you can check it out here.
