In recent years we have seen lots of viral videos circulating around the Internet from various life-threatening challenges to licking through an ice cream bucket and putting back, not only these kinds of actions are wrong but some of those are straight-up disgraceful.

To combat this issue, TikTok is promoting the #ThinkB4YouDo campaign to encourage fellow content creators to think twice before committing any dangerous or inappropriate stunts.

You too can join the movement of creating a better place for both online and real-life community through the following steps:

  1. Shoot a video clip with the #thinkb4youdo sticker and following a set of sample choreography
  2. Post your video and make it Public alongside the #thinkb4youdo tag
  3. Share to Facebook and Twitter to spread the positive move

Several popular Malaysian creators such as Mark O’Dea, David Zafer, and Yuki Tan have participated in the challenge as well, educating about topics such as online ethics and safety-related instructions.

To view the policy of TikTok’s take on this matter, visit the official campaign page for more information. And once again, there is no place for inappropriate content designed for the sake of view counts and popularity as they are not worth your time and attention to be invested in.

This entire campaign feels like a PSA – and a good message at that. Seriously, people sometimes do stupid stuff that they already know that they’re going to get a lot of hate comments, as though they’re trying to fish for attention.

For example – the latest series of pictures showing that there are people wearing the pink tags – who are supposed to be in home quarantine – just goes out and about and infecting everyone with COVID-19. Seriously, #ThinkB4YouDo.
