The game everybody is talking about. One of the most anticipated game of 2013 was released on 5th of March this year. Now I am going to explore and show how the game has evolved since the early Tomb Raider that my father used to play back then.
1. Jumping and Catching
Moving while hanging.
Jumping and catching.
The mechanics for jumping and grasping brings back memories from the early days of Tomb Raider. The usual stuff, left right up down and plus the leaping. I’m glad that they preserve the old stuff here. The only difference is that it is more fluid and realistic(of course).
2. Walking On Edge
Gusty winds won’t stop this tough girl.
I would have super sweaty hands during this moment.

The developers really nailed it for preserving and bringing the original Tomb Raider experience while giving us more realistic experience. The maneuver is as always, seems impossible in real life.
3. Rock Wall Climbing
Climbing using the Improvised Pick Axe.
Almost reaching the top.
She got some serious virtual muscles.
This time it’s a bit different. The usual Lara will be free climbing without using any tool but her hands and feet. Well of course, they want this to be as realistic as possible. Lara can only climb or hack into walls that is white and rough as in the pictures.
4. Ropes and Guts
At least she would fall into the water.
Making the rope bridge by shooting arrows attached to a rope.
That’s a long way down to a rocky fall. The river could cushion the fall perhaps?
This is a new one. Usually in the previous games, she could just use her grappling technique as Ada Wong from Resident Evil always uses almost every time but this time Lara uses her bow and arrow to attach a rope on the other end and tie the other on a pole or some harness. After making the rope bridge, she would then do the Monkey Crawl to get across.
If gravity is on her side, she would just proceed with style.
5. Killing
This is a major change in the game mechanics. Usually she would auto aim.
My personal favorite, the bow.
Get extra exp when executing headshots.
She can use heavy weapons too.
There are 4 types of weapon that you can get in the game.
Bow, Handgun, Machine gun and a shotgun. Throughout the game you will find various upgrade to each weapon. No spoilers here so I won’t discuss the details.
I must say, this babe is made of dragon skin. Her hands would grip no matter now hard she jumps and no matter how rough she lands, her skin is beautiful as always.

Yes you can play in offline mode. However, you will need to be online when you are activating the cd-key with Steam.
