Transcend just announced their brand new portable SSD – the ESD250C. It has a sturdy metallic case in a space-gray housing, a USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface for even faster transfer speeds – and has a USB Type-C port.
The all new Transcend ESD250C comes pre-formatted with exFAT file system for the most universal support. Like any other portable storage device, it is also compatible with desktops, laptops, gaming consoles, and even smartphones. The Transcend ESD250C comes bundled with a USB-C to USB-C and another USB-C to USB-A cable too.
To fully utilize on the USB 3.1 Gen 2 speed, it supports UASP protocol too. It can achiev up to 520MB/s with a single USB-C cable. Since it does support UASP, it can support two-way file transfer simultaneously without tanking the transfer speed.
