As days goes by, the demand for speedier and higher capacity SSDs grow. We all know this, and Transcend knows it as well. That’s where two new M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe SSDs come into the market – the MTE110S the consumer market, and also the MTE550T for embedded applications. They’re both built with high-quality 3D TLC NAND flash, so you’ll get higher capacity at an affordable price.
Both the MTE110S and MTE550T utilize the PCIe Gen. 3 x4 interface and is able to achieve a transfer speed of up to 1,800MB/s read and 1,500MB/s write speed. 3D TLC NAND flash also excels at being power efficient and has better reliability.
Transcend MTE110S – Consumer SSD
By leveraging the NVMe 1.3 protocol and PCIe Gen 3 x4 interface, the Transcend MTE110S offers four lanes of simultaneous data flow to deliver approximately two times the sequential read- and three times the random read performance of the MTE820 M.2 SSD series. It has LDPC (Low-Density Parity Check) coding too.
For some reason, Transcend decides to label the MTE110S as “PCIe SSD 110S” on the product page.
Transcend MTE550T – Embedded App SSD
Designed for high-end applications, the Transcend MTE550T comes equipped with a DRAM cache, which allows frequently-used applications to load much faster and greatly reduces boot times. The four-lane PCIe 3.1 throughputs, in combination with the NVMe 1.3 protocol, enables the MTE550T to reach blazing-fast read and write speeds of 1,800 MB/s and 800 MB/s, respectively. To achieve consistent performance and data retention, the MTE550T supports enhanced S.M.A.R.T. functionality, advanced global wear-leveling and block management, as well as advanced garbage collection.
Other than that, Transcend is offering the MTE510T which is a DRAM-less variant.
Transcend SSD Scope & SSD Scope Pro
To ensure that your SSD is running great, some sort of software is needed to monitor its health. That’s where Transcend’s SSD Scope and SSD Scope Pro comes in. They’re used to monitor the SSD’s health and to help the SSD to run efficiently. It can view the drive’s information, view the S.M.A.R.T. information, run a diagnostic scam, securely erase data, indicate the SSD’s health, clone the system, and also to update the firmware when needed.

The MTE110S is available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB variants. It’s covered by Transcend’s 5-year limited warranty.
As for the MTE550T, it is available in 128GB and 256GB variants, and covered by Transcend’s 3-year limited warranty.
