The aim of 3D scanning is to capture the geometry of the 3D world. However, most existing solutions require a complicated setup with an expensive 3D scanner and often hard to use and might not always work outdoors.

Having this apps on our smartphone enables the acquisition of 3D scans on-the-fly. The approach works in a wide variety of settings, including low-light conditions such as inside a museum. After reviewing the model, a user can upload his 3D data to a cloud service to further refine the results. Besides that, the app is also able to determine the absolute size of the scanned object.
Although we had seen a lot of different 3D scanner, but this app could give us another convenient way of getting 3D models of everyday objects just by copy the real world objects and replicate them on a 3D printer. This is the app that I will buy if it is available on Google Store!
