In recent light of the new Sony’s PS4 console launch, there have been reports of Blue Light Of Death which believed been caused by faulty HDMI ports says Sony.
Now, after 24 hours of the Xbox One launch, many consumers started to report that their BluRay player is making noises as they insert their brand new Blu Ray discs. Here is a compilation of those videos. Describing that the sound is like the Xbox is shredding their BluRay discs. Adding to that, those are affected won’t be able to successfully launch their game as the error message pops up saying that the disc cannot be read.
Hopefully, by my theory, these affected consoles are the result of improper motor calibration which can be corrected by applying some firmware update to reflash the BluRay player’s firmware and correct their motor. My best guest is that the motor is pulling the discs too much that even after the disc was inserted fully, the motor keeps pulling the disc thus making the shredding noise.
Exactly now many percentage of consoles affected by this is still undetermined.
