Two brand new smartphones by Xiaomi are soon to be in the market – the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A. These two smartphones are entry-level smartphones with price tags of RM499 and RM349 respectively. Talk about affordability!
Honestly, these smartphones will have to use MediaTek chips to keep the price down low. With MediaTek now using 12nm process technology, their efficiency and performance might be improved. Of course, the processor architecture is yet to be tested. Perhaps some time soon.

The Redmi 6 has better hardware than the Redmi 6A. For the Malaysian market, we’re getting the Redmi 6 with these specs:

- MediaTek Helio P22 with octa-core processor with 12nm process technology
- 3GB RAM + 32GB storage
- 12MP + 5MP dual rear-facing camera
- 5MP selfie camera
- 3,000mAh battery
The Redmi 6 will be available on 25th July with a total of 3 colors – gold, black, and blue. You can purchase it at Lazada or Shopee online store or any Authorized Mi Stores and Mi Zones. Obviously, the price is only RM499

The Redmi 6A has an affordable price tag of just RM349. For the Malaysian market, we’re getting the Redmi 6A with these specs:

- 2GB RAM + 16GB storage
- 13MP rear-facing camera
- 5MP selfie camera
- 3,000mAh battery
The Redmi 6A will be available on 25th July with 3 colors – gold, black, and blue. For the price of RM349, the Redmi 6A will be available for purchase on Lazada online store and Authorized Mi Stores and Mi Zones.
