After 8 years of hard work, Xiaomi has really created a name for themselves in the industry. Xiaomi has products ranging from the home appliances, household, laptops, and most prominently – smartphones. Now, they’re celebrating Xiaomi’s IPO milestone by introducing fantastic promotions for Mi Fans!
Xiaomi first started off as a custom ROM called MIUI in the scene and eventually evolved to Xiaomi who creates their own smartphones. From thereon, Xiaomi smartphones with success coming from their viral marketing. Social media were still in its early days back then, and literally everyone was talking about them. Yes, their viral marketing was top notch.
After that, Xiaomi has expanded to smart hardware that are connected via IoT, and eventually expanding to become a “triathlon” business model, encompassing hardware, new retail, and internet services.
Xiaomi has an interesting business model as well. They pledged that starting in 2018, Xiaomi’s hardware business will not have a profit margin exceeding 5% per year. If they do, the excess will be returned back to the users – like us.
To celebrate the company’s recent listing on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEX), Xiaomi will be having a special promotion involving Redmi Note 5 that was launched recently here in Malaysia.
From 9th July to 31st July:
