ZOWIE, the brand by BenQ, has just announced their new series of mice and mousepads which are made specifically for eSports. Introducing the brand new EC-B series of mice, and also the G-SR SE mousepad.

Starting off with the ZOWIE EC-B series of mice. Just like other ZOWIE mice in the past, they have size variants within the same series. This time, it’s the ZOWIE EC1-B and the EC2-B. As the number goes up, the size goes down. That means the EC1-B is the largest, and the EC2-B is the smallest.

The EC-B series of mice is made specifically for right-handed users only, and it has an ergonomic curve that bulges around the base of the forefinger.

As ZOWIE is an eSports-centric brand, their mice does not have unnecessary features like RGB, and it’s meant for pure performance only. There’s a DPI switch at the back that cycles through a total of 4 different DPI levels – 400, 800, 1600, and 3200 – denoted by an LED at the bottom of the mouse. That means you can change the DPI on the fly without installing any software.

There’s also another button at the bottom of the mouse where you can toggle the USB report rate. It can be toggled between 125Hz, 500Hz, and 1000Hz. It uses a Pixart 3360 sensor, by the way.

BenQ is also announcing a special edition CS:GO version of the ZOWIE EC-B series of mice as a homage to eSports, CS:GO, and ZOWIE fans. It will be released soon.

The ZOWIE G-SR SE mousepad is measured at 480x400x35mm with a combination of both cloth and rubber. It promises consistent smooth glide at the top whereas the 100% rubber base will ensure stability and friction.

The latest ZOWIE EC1-B and EC2-B mouse are priced at RM419 and the new ZOWIE G-SR SE mousepad is priced at RM189. They’re available in Malaysia at all authorized dealers nationwide and at the BenQ Brand Store on Lazada here.
