The POCO X3 NFC was released recently and it’s easy to say that they did shake the world once again. It comes with an impossibly good list of specs like the new Snapdragon 732G, 120Hz refresh rate display, alongside some great quality of life improvements.
For the price of RM899 – and here are my top 5 reasons why the new POCO X3 NFC is the best mid-range gaming smartphone to date.
By the way, there’s a special early bird promotion too. It’s at the bottom of this article.
Great performance with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G
I have to say, the Snapdragon 732G is actually an iterative upgrade over the Snapdragon 720G. It still packs a punch, yet the efficiency is better. Also, the POCO X3 NFC’s heat output is so low to the point where the phone only slightly warms up after an hour of continuous gaming.
Best of all, like what we’ve shown here, the Snapdragon 732G can play all the games without any issues. And speaking of gaming, the POCO X3 NFC also has stereo speakers! Yes – that earpiece is also a loudspeaker which works very well.
If you don’t like to use a loudspeaker, then fret not – the POCO X3 NFC has an audio jack. 😉
That screen with 120Hz refresh rate with 240Hz touch sampling rate
If you’re gaming, then having a high refresh rate screen is important for that silky smooth motion – especially in fast-paced games. The POCO X3 NFC brought a super-fast 120Hz refresh rate screen into a mid-range smartphone of this price – and it’s just amazing.
To ensure that you get a competitive edge against the competition, the POCO X3 NFC comes with 240Hz touch sampling rate too. That means it will detect and respond to your touches faster.
Its 6.67-inch display is big and beautiful with a tiny little cutout for the selfie camera so that we can see more without obstruction.
Big 5,160mAh battery with 33W fast charging
Despite being a mid-range smartphone, it is still packed with a massive battery with fast charging. We’ve tested the POCO X3 NFC’s battery life in our review and it can last for 2 days on a single charge without any issue.
If you’re gaming to the point where the battery is really low, then fret not – the POCO X3 NFC also comes with a 33W charger inside the box. From our test, it can achieve these charging speeds from 15%:
| POCO X3 NFC fast charging | |
| Time | Battery level |
| 18 minutes | 50% |
| 34 minutes | 75% |
| 63 minutes | 100% |
Essentially, after a long day of gaming on your POCO X3 NFC, you can get to 50% charge in just 18 minutes and continue gaming again. That’s truly amazing for a mid-range smartphone of this price.
Cameras
The pictures coming out of the POCO X3 NFC is yet another thing that is worth highlighting. Yes, it has a weird camera cutout shape but I think it’s unique. And it still takes good pictures.
You can check out our review here to know how’s the camera capability of the POCO X3 NFC.
The POCO x3 NFC uses a Sony IMX682 sensor for its main camera which is capable of taking 64MP pictures. combined with its AI processing and some editing, the POCO X3 NFC can take some amazing pictures.
The POCO X3 NFC also has AI Skyscaping 3.0 to literally change the sky, 4K video recording, and Vlog mode.
A unique design
The POCO X3 NFC comes in two different colors – Shadow Grey and also Cobalt Blue. We have the latter one and the color is truly something unique. There’s this shaded area (mathematically speaking) and the POCO logo is printed in an iridescent material for extra sheen.
It’s a truly unique design that when will surely catch many people’s attention.
The design is also functional too, as the back is curved to provide a more comfortable grip on the hands.
All of these at an unbelievably low price
The POCO X3 NFC is truly spectacular for its price. The POCO X3 NFC comes in two different configurations but there is also an early bird special promotion.
