Moto Z owners rejoice! You’ll get to enjoy the latest, greatest, and sweetest Android update as of today – Android 7.0 Nougat.
As any other Android updates, the new Android 7.0 Nougat update will be pushed over-the-air, and it’ll be in batches. According to Moto, Moto Z owners can expect the latest and sweetest update in the form of Android 7.0 Nougat; while Moto Z Play owners can expect the update notification later this month.
There are a few notable highlights in this update too – let’s walk us through.
Multi-Window View
Moto Z and Z Play users will now enjoy the ultimate multitasking experience. With just a tap on the overview button, Nougat brings the ability to display two apps on the Moto Z and Z Play’s 5.5-inch Full HD screen at the same time. Now you can watch a movie while reading movie trivia on your browser, or keep an eye on where your car-sharing ride is, while texting your friends letting them know you’re on the way.
Bundled Notifications and Direct Reply
Stay up to date with everything that’s going on with just a glance. Notifications are now grouped together when coming from the same app. This gives the user a more streamlined and visually pleasing experience when pulling down the notifications bar. On top of that, say goodbye to having to leave an app, just to reply to a text message. With Direct Reply, you can respond to messages within the notifications bar, letting you get back to what you were doing, without having to ever leave the app. Saving data that is unnecessarily being spent means more data for your photo uploads to social media, and much more music and video streaming.
Custom Quick Settings
Added customizability means putting what you want, where you want them. With Nougat, you can rearrange the quick settings however you like. This allows you to change your desired setting quickly and conveniently with just a few taps.
Daydream Virtual Reality
Daydream by Google takes you on incredible adventures in virtual reality with your Moto Z. Moto Z is the perfect device for virtual reality, with its high-resolution Quad HD display, high-powered processor and precise sensors. Nougat brings Daydream compatibility to the Moto Z. Daydream, Google’s VR platform, allows users to immerse themselves into all the experiences you love and aspire to do.
