Xiaomi Malaysia held an event we’re invited for a game night to celebrate the Pocophone F1’s official launch in Malaysia. Instead of having the usual launch where we talk about the specs and features, Xiaomi Malaysia invited Geek Fam, a Malaysian esports club, to be at the event. They’re also the brand ambassadors of the Pocophone F1.
How the game night worked is fairly simple. There were many other members of the media invited to the event as well, and we’re all assigned to teams to compete in Mobile Legends against Geek Fam. As a special rule to the competition, the winners are determined by their stats at the end of each matches.
Six groups, comprising of different media members, competed against each other to win the Pocophone F1 as the prize. Team NTV7 emerged as victors with a total of eleven kills against Geek Fam, and they’re the best team in the entire game night. Each member of Team NTV7 won a Pocophone F1.
Team Geek Fam was represented by ICON, consisting of ComeToPapa, Syno, Josh, Error and Ketom. The other Mobile Legends team from Geek Fan. Mystic Burden, was also at the event.
We talked about the Pocophone F1 in a lot here at Nasi Lemak Tech, where we first did an in-depth review of the phone here, and also found out that it is actually splash-resistant. Of course, the Pocophone F1 is the most affordable smartphone equipped with top-of-the-line Snapdragon 845 chipset, and we also dwell into the reasons why it is so affordable.
The Pocophone F1 is available in 6GB RAM +64GB storage for RM1,299 which is available exclusively on Lazada; and 6GB RAM +128GB storage for RM1,499, available at all Authorised Mi Stores. Both versions comes in two colors – Graphite Black and Steel Blue.
