During our visit to Computex 2018, we saw a brand new range of keyboard switches available in the market. Low-profile switches were a major highlight as well, and Cherry MX has their own low-profile switches as well. And now, Cooler Master just announced their own mechanical keyboard with Cherry’s new low-profile MX switch – the SK630.

The SK630 is a TKL mechanical keyboard with a slim profile – hence the utilization of low-profile switches. The SK630 is also caseless, giving it a “floating keycap” design. Since the body itself is covered in brushed aluminium to reflect the RGB lighting even more prominently.

The RGB lights can be controlled via on the keyboard itself through the function key. For a more granular control, Cooler Master also has the CM Portal app to control the keyboard with even more granular settings.

The Cooler Master SK630 is also equipped with a removable USB Type-C cable – which is fantastic.

Our partner also reviewed the GAMDIAS Hermes M3 keyboard with a low-profile mechanical switch, but is made by Kailh. We are looking forward to testing the SK630 that is equipped with Cherry MX RGB low-profile switches.

The Cooler Master SK630 is available in the market today with the price of RM449.
