Who says smartphones with Pantone colors is only available for high-end premium brands? Neffos, the ever-affordable smartphone brand by TP-Link that just dropped all of their lineup of smartphones to below RM900 not long ago, is now announcing the Neffos C7 – a smartphone that is priced at just RM599. Then, Neffos also teased their future smartphones, and the color we call “ultraviolet” – Pantone’s 2018 color of the year.
Let’s start off with the Neffos C7. The specs of the Neffos C7 is actually quite decent for its price.
- 5.5-inch IPS 720p display
- Octa-core processor (presumably with MediaTek chipset, obviously)
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB storage (expandable with microSD card)
- 8MP selfie camera
- 13MP f/2.0 rear-facing camera
- 3,060mAh battery
The Neffos C7 is now available on Lazada, and for the price of RM599, you get a TP-Link Smart WiFi Lightbulb worth RM149 for free, too! The Neffos C7 is available ion both Cloudy Gray and Sunrise Gold color.
As for the future smartphone colors, the last time we’ve seen anything about Pantone is Huawei’s Greenery on the P10 and P10+, but we didn’t really see them in Malaysia at all. As for which smartphone in particular will get the ultraviolet color, Neffos left us with this statement:
With the future in mind, this begs the question, “Will we see a Neffos Ultra Violet smartphone next?” Only time will tell!
They did tease the upcoming Neffos N1 that’s coming to the market soon, but we have no exact date on when. Only time will tell, and we’ll surely update this space.
