Nokia 2 is now official in the Malaysian market! It promises a long-lasting 2-day battery life on a single charge – yet it is priced at only RM429.
Nokia says the 2-day battery life is made possible with the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and a 5-inch LTPS LCD display, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, and even dual-SIM, combined with Android’s pure and up-to-date experience. Yes, Nokia does have a great update schedule.
Nokia’s ture hallmark is the build quality. Even for a RM429 phone like the Nokia 2, you get a frame that’s machined out of a single block of aluminum like all their other smartphones (e.g. the Nokia 8 that we reviewed here), Corning Gorilla Glass for your screen, and also a sculpted polycarbonate back.
To achieve that 2-day battery life, Nokia cramped in a 4,100mAh battery to reassure that you don’t need to charge your phone everyday. It also has an 8MP rear-facing camera and another 5MP for selfies.
The Nokia 2 will be available in Pewter/Black, Pewter/White and Copper/Black for a price of RM429.
Knowing Google’s history in smartphones, the Nokia 2 seems to be getting the same treatment like their high-end smartphones, too. Timely updates, great build quality, and also zero bloatware. That’s where the value is.
